The cold open for a comedy pilot I wrote, B.F.A. It’s a coming-of-age story based on my own experiences in art school, and the struggles of being a young artist. It’s set in the rural college town of Ithaca, NY and follows Matt Jones, a 19-year old sophomore that takes himself and his art way too seriously. His best friend Mia is much more adventurous and free-spirited. They both dream of becoming big-shot NYC artists, which is the crux of their relationship—how they are constantly trying to “make it,” and the conflict when one of them succeeds and the other doesn’t.
Matt Jones character bio one-pager.
A teaser of Champion’s Gate: A 20-something desk worker must break her routine at a gated retirement community in central Florida to assemble a rag tag crew, and fight off the flesh-craving, elderly undead residents. It’s a zombie-comedy that gives homage to 80s B-movie gore and vulgarity.
